Hail Visitors, Welcome to me dusty little corner of the World Wide Web. This is the home of my ongoing projects. The main one being, of course, is my campaign world. For those of you that have not been here before, click here to read my rant about published box sets. Campaign Cartographer 2, by Profantasy, is another one of my favorite hobbies. Please check out my CC2 Stuff page to see some of my handiwork. My current passion though is my VBL list. This list is dedicated to the creation of reusable controls and components that programmers would use in their rpg programs. Even though the majority of our members are Visual Basic programmers, our membership includes VC++ programmers and Delphi programmers even a Unix programmer or two! What are controls? They are typically OCX files and are added to programming projects to add functions that the language does not have. VB and VC++ ship with a lot of neat OCX's. We want to create ones specifically designed with the rpg utilities programmer in mind. What are components? They could be nearly anything that rpg programmers could reuse. Some examples include DLL's, EXE's, raw code and databases with reusable data. Why should I help others work on their programs? What could I have to contribute? Well, if you join not only are you helping others, but you are also gaining the help of a lot of other programmers. If you have ever programmed a rpg utility, you own code that could be reused and posibly turned into a control. So, stop trying to reinvent the wheel and join our group.
